The DEV4 plaque at the Robert Gordon University (RGU) School of Computing, Engineering and Technology is a quiet reminder of a partnership that has spanned more than 15 years. Over this time, DEV4 has worked closely with RGU on a range of initiatives that support both innovation in the technology sector and the development of new talent.
Collaborative Projects: Advancing Equi-track with AI
Currently, DEV4 is collaborating with RGU and The National Subsea Centre on an AI project for Equi-track, our flagship asset management platform. The goal of this partnership is to develop intelligent solutions for equipment utilisation, combining DEV4’s industry experience with RGU’s research expertise. This work is helping to ensure that Equi-track remains at the forefront of digital asset management.
Engaging with Students: RGU Hackathon
DEV4 regularly participates in the RGU Hackathon, the most popular coding competition in North East Scotland. Events like this provide students with opportunities to test their skills and work on real-world challenges, while also allowing our team to connect with up-and-coming talent.
Supporting Excellence: Sponsorship and Awards
Each year, DEV4 sponsors awards for students who excel in Software Development at RGU’s annual award ceremony. Recognising student achievement and supporting the next generation of developers is an important part of our ongoing relationship with the university.
Looking Ahead
DEV4 values its long-standing partnership with RGU and remains committed to supporting collaborative projects, student engagement, and academic excellence. These connections help us stay informed about the latest developments in technology and ensure that our flagship product, Equi-track, continues to benefit from fresh ideas and leading research.
